Mr. Arthur Zebley, passed away July 17,
2008 in Olathe, Ks. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on
Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home where the
family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday. Burial will be
at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe. The family suggests
contributions to Hospice of Olathe Medical Center and/or Good
Samaritan Society of Olathe. To leave a special message for the

was born August 16, 1923 in Hays, Kansas living in Olathe since
1947. He served in the Marine Corps in the South Pacific during
WWII from 1942- 1945, and married Norma Langdon in 1945 (who
preceded him in death in 2007). He established Century Wood
Products in 1950 in Olathe. Arthur was a member of the Olathe
City Commission 1963-68 and served as Mayor in 1967-68, board of
trustees Olathe Medical Center 1974-83, Johnson County Airport
Commission 1975-77. He was honored "Citizen of the Year" in
Olathe in 1983. He was an active member of Unity Village Church
and served as president of the "Men of Unity" for several years.
He was an active member of the Olathe Rotary Club for over 30
years having served as president. He is survived by his
children; David (Sandy) Zebley, Olathe, Linda Zebley, Lawrence,
Michael (Beth) Zebley, Olathe, and Chris (Anna) Zebley, of
Shawnee, a sister, Mary Anne Miller, six grandchildren; Kelly,
Angela, Andrew, Amy, Steve, and Ryan, twelve great-
grandchildren; Justin, Hunter, Hayden, Halston, Jared, Cole,
Hannah, Jessie, Van, Sydney, Macey and Jace.
Duard M. Boone, 90, passed away
March 17, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00
p.m. with visitation from 1- 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 22
at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel; burial in
Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family suggest
contributions to Crossroads Hospice of Kansas City.
Duard was born December 21, 1917 in Montgomery County,
MO to Everett and Bessie Boone. Duard graduated from
North East High School in 1936. He married Edith Roberta
Phillips of Kansas City in 1939. Duard served his
country during WWII for 3 1/2 years in the 33rd Troop
Carriers Squadron in the Army Air Corp. in the Pacific
Theatre from New Guinea to Tokyo. His career in the
title business spanned 50 years with retirement in 1987.
He served as a Reserve Chaplain and a volunteer in the
Physical Therapy Department at Research Hospital. He was
a lifelong member of Unity Chapel and the Men of Unity
Association. Duard assisted with the yearly golf
tournament at Unity Village for many years. He was given
the honor of having the golf tournament named after him
which still continues today. The love for his family was
always top priority in his life along with his devotion
in doing God's work in helping other people. Duard is
survived by three children, Sharon Haight, Laurelyn
Pierce and Don Boone, seven grand-children and five
great-grandchildren. Fond memories and condolences for
